Last week I attended the University of South Wales’s Fashion Show; Pulp! Not only did I get to see some absolutely amazing designs, but I also got to meet the gorgeous blogger Georgia of Fashion Oyster ( who I’ve been dying to meet for ages since finding her fab blog a few months back!)
Upon entering the Atrium in Cardiff where it was held, we were greeted with complimentary drinks and after a short wait, were told that we could take our seats. Whilst there were crowds of people standing and hovering around us eagerly anticipating the show, we were lucky enough to be VIP and have fancy seats on the front row accompanied with cute little goody bags (and even a KRISPY KREME!)
The show far exceeded my expectations and was a pleasure to attend. I was blown away by the fact that first year students, in their FIRST week of university were able to put together such a tremendous show. I was blown even further away by the fact that all of the dresses and outfits were made with paper. As you’ll see in the photographs below, the outfits looked extremely designer and even real – certainly not made out of paper. All of the designers should be proud of themselves as their hard work really paid off, and I for one am excited to see the types of clothing that these talented young people will be making by the time they graduate in three years.
Credit also has to be given to the fabulous models that strutted their stuff and completely disregarded the fact that some of their dresses were disintegrating around them. Whilst I would have been red faced and trotting hurriedly backstage, they kept their cool and worked the paper.
Although I was impressed by everyone’s designs, a personal favourite was the very last one – whoever created this , please make one for me?
